The Venice Biennale
Venice is one of my favourite places in the world - its beyond unique and it is home to one of the worlds largest exhibitions - The Venice Biennale. It is often called the art-world Olympics, for two reasons - 1. its frequency (every other year, as the name suggests) and 2. its particular brand of internationalism, hosting 53 countries who send their brightest creative minds to conene on a world stage.
For those of you who don't know much about this spectacular event Artsy and UBS teamed up with the directors Oscar Boyson and the T magazine contributor Poppy de Villeneuve on a series of short films aimed at demystifying the Biennale. Watch “Behind the Biennale: A Short History of the World’s Most Important Art Exhibition,” below!
