House for Mother
Following our theme for Mother's Day this House Keeping post couldn't be more perfect than this Swedish home - aptly named ‘House for Mother’.
The structure is divided into two parallel volumes slightly shifted from each other, creating spaces both in front of and behind the building. Internally the space has been divided by creating spaces within spaces, a great example of this is the living area which has been cocooned from floor to ceiling in white paint - the illusion of space is fantastic! The simple use of materials including corrugated aluminium, exposed timber, walls lined in plywood and concrete is a winner!
So simple but classic very liveable
